SHARP receives award from NSF to study the effects of Hurricane Sandy

SHARP researchers at UMaine, UConn, and UDel received a $200,000 RAPID award from the National Science Foundation for a study entitled “Ecological Resistance of Multiply Stressed Populations: the response of tidal marsh birds and plants to Hurricane Sandy”. ¬†The research will investigate¬†how various ecological backdrops impact the vulnerability of tidal marsh plants and animals to large-scale weather disturbances.
